About Bayport
Bayport Preschool provides a friendly, stimulating environment, rich in learning opportunities and challenges, planned to meet the needs of young children.
The children are at the centre of everything that happens here. We observe them closely and then plan the program around their development, needs and interests. We offer a safe, nurturing, warm and happy environment in which your children will thrive. The learning is evident in all experiences on offer both inside and outside.
The curriculum we offer is based on the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework. This means that some of the time, children will learn through play, being allowed to interact with all the experiences offered in a hands-on way and in a variety of situations such as playing alone, beside or with a friend or group of friends or simply by watching others play. We are intentional in teaching children the skills and characteristics they will need for lifelong learning.
Families are encouraged to participate in and contribute to their child’s learning. Relationships between staff and parents are respected and valued and communication is considered an essential element as we are all a part of the same team.
Bayview Preschool is a happy place where children aged 3-5 can learn, laugh, play and have fun.
We value and recognise that you, the parents and carers are the child’s first teachers. We look forward to sharing this partnership in education with you.
We recognise that every child is a unique individual and so we offer learning experiences which give them the opportunity to explore, imagine, investigate, make choices and problem solve in an attractive indoor and outdoor environment. We believe in celebrating children’s achievements and discoveries.
We include all children, families, staff and people in the local area. We want everyone to feel welcome and rejoice the spirit of community. Our centre is accessible for children and adults with physical disabilities.
We encourage the children to develop confidence and resilience. Children are empowered by using their thoughts and ideas to guide and extend their learning. We provide a rich, stimulating and nurturing program which is child centred and based upon the principles of the National Early Years Learning Framework.
